Q Acoustics Qi65C

The Q Acoustics Qi65C in-ceiling speaker is a two-way model with a pivoting tweeter, requiring a depth of only 79 mm for installation in a wall or false ceiling, even in damp rooms. This speaker is suitable for stereo or multichannel use. This model features a circular grille. The Q Acoustics Qi65C speaker is equipped with a 16.5 cm diameter mid-bass driver and a 1.9 cm tweeter. This tandem operates within a frequency range of 75 Hz (-3 dB) to 20 kHz when the speaker is installed in an infinite baffle configuration. It is therefore not necessary to enclose the speaker in a small volume inside the wall or false ceiling. However, when several speakers are installed close to each other in the same wall or false ceiling, it is useful to use segmentation to prevent the back wave emitted by each speaker from interfering with the others. Q Acoustics provides a cutout template for simplified installation. Practical, the Q Acoustics Qi65C is secured behind the wall via four dogleg-type fixings, which are tightened using front-mounted screws. The Q Acoustics Qi65C speaker features spring-loaded terminals that can be operated with one hand and paintable grilles attached using powerful magnets. The Q Acoustics Qi65C in-ceiling speaker is suitable for both home cinema and Hi-Fi use, where it will be advantageously supported by an active subwoofer to extend the bass response. Offered here in its version with a circular grille, the Q Acoustics Qi65C in-ceiling speaker is available with a square grille under the reference Q Acoustics Qi65S (S for Square) but is also available in a dual-tweeter stereo version (Q Acoustics Qi65S ST and Q Acoustics Qi65C ST), as well as an outdoor version (Q Acoustics Qi65CW and Q Acoustics Qi65CW ST).
